Emily Margolin focuses primarily on intellectual property, telecommunications, licensing, acquisitions, and FCC compliance.

Previously, Emily worked at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, where she addressed telecommunications issues and FOIA requests, and at the Transportation Security Administration, where she worked on software licensing and transactional matters.

Fun Fact

While at The George Washington University Law School, Emily served as a Notes Editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal and a Writing Fellow for the GW Law Writing Center. She also took courses in copyright, trademark, patents, Internet law, and negotiations. Her Note, From March Madness to Postgame Sadness: Leveling the Playing Field in Collegiate Athletics by Establishing a National Name, Image, and Likeness Policy, was published in the spring 2024 edition of AIPLA QJ.

Emily grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Villanova University and her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, with a concentration in Intellectual Property.
