Ms. Stefani focuses her practice on emerging wireless technologies, spectrum matters, and RF equipment issues. She represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and other federal agencies with regard to spectrum allocation and sharing and the regulation and licensing of equipment and services.
Laura Stefani finds creative regulatory solutions so that clients may bring new technologies to market. Ms. Stefani has experience counseling clients on a broad range of wireless services, such as private land mobile, public safety, mobile satellite service, radar, MAS, paging and MedRadio, as well as in unlicensed and experimental operations. She represents clients before FCC in waiver and rulemaking proceedings, spectrum proceedings, Enforcement Bureau inquiries, and equipment certification matters, and also provides advice on the FAA regulation of UAS.
Ms. Stefani is active in the Federal Communications Bar Association. She Co-Chaired both the Engineering and Technical Practice Committee and the International Telecommunications Committee, and served on the Continuing Legal Education and Nominations Committees.
Prior to practicing telecommunications law, Ms. Stefani was a litigator, focusing on employment and administrative law actions in private practice in Washington, D.C.
