EAS Resources

The Federal Communications Commission strictly enforces its rules for the Emergency Alert System (EAS). Broadcasters, cable systems and wireless cable systems should be familiar with all operations of the EAS and with mandatory testing protocol. FCC rules require that the EAS handbook be located at normal duty positions or EAS equipment locations and be immediately available to staff.
